A webinar was held for engineer-programmers and students within the framework of “Heydar Aliyev Year”
The events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani People Heydar Aliyev are continued by the Ministry of Communications and New Technologies of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan. Within the framework of the events, a webinar was held for the fourth year students of the specialty “Information Technologies” of Nakhchivan State University, jointly organized by the Ministry and the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan on April 28, by the employees of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Opening the webinar, Minister of Communications and New Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vusal Sevdimaliyev said that by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev dated September 29, 2022, “Heydar Aliyev Year” was declared in our country in 2023.
Several important decisions have been made for the future development of the field of communication laid down by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, a logistical framework has been established for training specialists in relevant specialties in higher and secondary education institutions, the volume of telecommunications industry within the framework of investments in the development of the country's economy has increased year-on-year.
The Minister also touched on the importance of the webinar and noted that necessary measures are being taken by the Ministry to increase the knowledge and skills of engineers-programmers, seminar and webinars are being organized for them.During the internship, students are introduced to the activities of the Ministry and its subsidiaries, as well as modern telecommunication equipment. Today's webinar is like that.
At the webinar, employees of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan Gunay Abdiyeva-Aliyev's speeches on “Cybersecurity Awareness and Impact Analysis”, Murad Balayev's “Techniques for Infecting with Pests” and Azer Malikov's “OSINT (Open-source intelligence -Automated Intelligence) and Social Engineering” were heard.
During the speeches, detailed information was provided about the possible cyberattacks protection of the users, including the attention of the participants was brought, that through cyber fraud, their personal data can be stolen by directing the users to some site or other resource that is the same in different ways but is fake. There may be personal information of users, ID numbers, e-mail addresses, etc. It has been stated that social engineering is also the art of deceiving and lying to people, but anyone who wants to get some information here uses code or encryption, not people's weaknesses. To protect against these threats, it is recommended that they do not pass on their personal information to strangers, do not write down any referring sites and any credit card, bank account and such confidential information as is required on that site, do not approach the requested requests with suspicion and use reliable sources.
