Head of the Service

Head of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Lieutenant General Ilgar Ali oglu Musayev was born on September 15, 1975 in Baku. He received higher education at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports and the Heydar Aliyev Academy of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

He started working  in 1994.

From 1994 to 2015, he served in responsible positions in the field of special state communication in the relevant institution of the Special State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Since 2015, in accordance with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he has continued his service in the State Security Service (SST) of the Republic of Azerbaijan in responsible positions.

By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 27, 2017,  Ilgar Musayev was awarded the highest military rank of Major-General.

On May 11, 2017, according to the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he was appointed as the deputy head of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 04, 2020, Ilgar Musayev was awarded the highest military rank of Lieutenant-General.

By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 13, 2012, he was appointed as the Head of the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

AWARDS

During his service period he was awarded numerous state awards and other prizes.

  • Medal "For Military Services" by the Order No.3001 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated August 21, 2008;
  • 3rd degree "For service to the Fatherland" Order by the Order No.1062 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 27, 2019
  • 2nd degree "For service to the Fatherland" Order by the Order No.318 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 17, 2022.
