A meeting with students was held at the CERT Center of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security

Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations Jeyhun Salmanov, students studying in the specialty of “Electronic Management” (E-Governance) within the framework of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program jointly established by Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and Georgia State University of America visited the CERT Center of the State Service.

At the CERT Center, students were informed about the role and importance of cybersecurity in rapidly digitalizing electronic governance, the cyberattacks targeting our country and the methods to deal with them, the mechanisms for distributing information on pest research, cyberattacks and suspicious electronic mails, the statistical indicators related to cyberins Incidents, the opportunities and risks brought by the introduction of new generation of technologies. The students also noted the demand for qualified personnel for reliable protection of state information resources and the role of universities and the importance of mutual cooperation in training specialists in the field. In addition, students were informed about the currently implemented cyber hygiene project and the importance of individual cyber hygiene in order to avoid becoming a victim of cyberattacks.

At the end of the event, students were presented with a specially designed tabletop "2023 Information Security Calendar" and "Information Security" journal for strengthening information security skills and awareness.
