“III Summit of IT top managers of State agencies” was held

The event is organized by SCIS on a regular basis in order to exchange experiences and strengthen inter-institutional communication among the information security senior staff of government agencies. More than 100 representatives from 73 state institutions participated in the event.

Opening the "Summit" with an introductory speech, The Deputy Head of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security, Major General Allahveren Ismayilov welcomed the participants and said that according to the Decree signed by National Leader Heydar Aliyev on February 2, 1997, February 2 each year is celebrated as National Youth Day. In this regard, he congratulated the youth attending the Summit. 

In his speech, A. Ismayilov emphasized that this "Summit" will be dedicated to strengthening the information security of state institutions, especially to the discussion of  security issues of critical infrastructures, as well as to the joint assessment of threats to the information security of state information systems and resources during the snap presidential elections to be held in Azerbaijan on February 7 of this year. The deputy head congratulated the young people who participated in the "Summit" in this regard.

Elmir Valizade, an employee of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, also spoke at the opening ceremony of the event.

Later, Tural Mammadov, head of the Department of SCIS, made a presentation on the topic "Information security situation of state institutions, innovations and plans", Davud Rustamov, head of the Cyber Security Center of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, made a presentation on the topic “Organization of Cybersecurity Action in Critical Information Infrastructures”, Aydın Gurbanlı, deputy director of CyberPoint for information security made a presentation on the topic “How should a new generation of Cyber Security Center be built?” and Sergey Matrosov, an independent expert, spoke on the topic of "Effective end-user management model".

The event ended with the discussion of information security, new trends, threats, and issues faced by government agencies during the election period.
