The next meeting of the OIC-CERT Steering Committee was held in Cairo
Representatives of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SCISSS) participated in the next meeting of the Board of Directors of the International Organization of Islamic Countries CERT Centers – “OIC-CERT,” held on 19 May in Cairo, Egypt.
At the meeting of the Steering Committee, the work carried out under the organization’s 2024 action plan was discussed, and information was provided on the activities implemented in the area of “Technology and Engineering,” which constitutes the 4th strategic direction for which our country (CERT.gov.az) is responsible.
After evaluating the proposals submitted by member countries regarding the venue of the organization’s 15th final conference and meeting, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, was selected.
During the event, the head of department of SCISSS, T. Mammadov, also provided detailed information about the International Cyber Diplomacy Conference, which will be held for the first time in Azerbaijan.
This initiative of Azerbaijan and the invitation to the event were highly appreciated by the Steering Committee.
For information purposes, it is noted that SCISSS has been representing our country on the Steering Committee of the OIC-CERT organization for 8 years.
