Attention! An increase has been observed in the creation of fake pages related to the “COP29” event.
Within the framework of the “COP29” event, the Special Communication and Information Security State Service, as the state body responsible for information security, is carrying out relevant measures jointly with the COP29 management center to strengthen information security and prevent cyberattacks, while also enhancing overall monitoring and control.
The Service is currently observing the creation of various targeted fake resources related to the “COP29” event. While some of these resources are aimed at information manipulation, many are fraudulent platforms created by cybercriminals. In particular, cybercriminals are exploiting potential registration processes, as well as possible job openings within the framework of the event, by spreading fake information on social networks about employment opportunities related to “COP29” on various business and job-related platforms.
To date, in cooperation with the COP29 Security Operations Center, 15 fake information resources have been identified and blocked nationwide.
Citizens are urged to trust only information provided through official sources and to remain vigilant against fake and misleading information campaigns circulating on social networks.
