An event was held on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the scientific-methodological journal “Information Security.”
An event was held at the Special Communication and Information Security State Agency of the Special State Protection Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the scientific-methodological journal “Information Security.”
At the event, Lieutenant General Mürsəl Vəliyev, Head of the Special State Service for Communication and Information Security, delivered an opening speech. In his address, he emphasized to the participants the importance of protecting national interests in the globalized information space, ensuring the security of information resources, and mobilizing and coordinating the efforts of state bodies, academic institutions, scientists, and specialists working in this field. He also noted that safeguarding national interests in the global information space is made possible through the state support provided for the continuous development of the national information security system, as part of the policy defined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. Furthermore, he highlighted that the establishment of the Special State Service for Communication and Information Security and the creation of the Coordination Commission on Information Security exemplify the attention the national leadership pays to this field.
M. Vəliyev also pointed out that the “Information Security” journal was created with state support and expressed his gratitude to the journal’s creative team and editorial board for their contributions to raising public awareness in the field of information security, fostering a culture of information security, disseminating best practices, and providing scientific-methodological assistance to specialists.
At the end of his speech, M. Vəliyev drew attention to the order of the Head of the Special State Protection Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan on awarding the journal’s staff. According to the order, Nurəddin Niftiyev (Interagency Commission for the Protection of State Secrets), Rahid Ələkbərli (Ministry of Transport, Communications, and High Technologies), Davud Rüstəmli (State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan), and Sevinc Vəlibəyli (Azinfosec Company) were awarded the “25th Anniversary of the Special State Protection Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan” Jubilee Medal, while Tural Məmmədov (Special State Service for Communication and Information Security) was awarded the “Honorary Decree of the Special State Protection Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.” He congratulated the awardees.
At the conclusion of the event, Allahverən İsmayılov, Editor of the “Information Security” journal, delivered a speech, expressing gratitude to the leadership of the Special State Protection Service and the Special State Service for Communication and Information Security for organizing the event, awarding those who actively contributed to the creation of the journal, and providing the necessary conditions and material support for the editorial board’s work. He also noted that the journal’s creative team will continue to play an active role in enhancing the journal’s prestige and contributing to the development of the field.
