27 September – Memorial Day
The personnel of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SCISSS) visited the Second Alley of Martyrs on the occasion of September 27 – Memorial Day. Bouquets of flowers were laid in front of the graves of our martyrs, and their dear memory was commemorated with respect.
At the ceremony site, the glorious victory achieved in the 44-day Patriotic War by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces under the leadership of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev was discussed. It was also emphasized that the dear memory of the heroic sons of the Motherland and our martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the restoration of our territorial integrity, is always commemorated by our people.
Later, the military personnel of SCISSS visited Victory Park in Baku, which is still under construction.
The head of SCISSS, Lieutenant General Ilqar Musayev, and other employees of the Service laid bouquets of flowers in front of the memorial stone and commemorated the dear memory of the martyrs.
September 27, the day the Patriotic War began, is marked as Memorial Day in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev dated December 2, 2020.
Honoring the names of our heroic fighters who gave their lives for the integrity of our Motherland, remembering them at all times, and keeping their memory alive is the civic duty of each of us.
