The Special Communication and Information Security State Service participated in an international conference

The 16th Annual Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Computer Emergency Response Teams (OIC-CERT) was held within the framework of “Cybersecurity Week 2024” organized in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. A delegation from the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the conference.

The event dedicated to the topic “Cybersecurity as a driving force of the digital economy” was organized with the aim of expanding cooperation between OIC-CERT members and other organizations operating in this field, as well as promoting the development of global cybersecurity.

A representative of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service, Murad Balayev, delivered a speech at a panel session dedicated to the topic “Emerging technologies in the field of cybersecurity” at the conference. He spoke about the work carried out in Azerbaijan in the field of cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection, the activities of the Computer Incident Response Center and the Security Operations Center, as well as real examples and experience regarding the application of artificial intelligence-based solutions both as a tool for cybersecurity and as a means used for cyberattacks.

More than 600 delegates from 60 countries participated in the event.
