Members of the OIC-CERT Board of Directors participated in the conference on “Opportunities and Challenges in the Cybersecurity Industry”

Six countries participated in the meeting to discuss membership, the annual plans of working groups, the conference plan, the management structure, and the 11th OIC-CERT Annual Conference for 2019, which was to be organized by Badan Siber (Indonesia).

Following the Board meeting, four members of the OIC-CERT Board of Directors—Mr. Bader Al-Salehi, Dr. Muhammad Salman (Indonesia), Mr. Tural Mammadov (Azerbaijan), and Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Helmy (Egypt)—delivered presentations at the “Opportunities and Challenges in the Cybersecurity Industry” conference, highlighting cybersecurity initiatives in their respective countries, existing collaborations, and the global state of the field.

The Malaysia Cybersecurity Centre organized the meeting to facilitate information exchange and discussion of current cybersecurity issues through technical sessions, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of cybersecurity governance.

During the event, the Malaysia Cybersecurity Centre stated that it seeks to strengthen and expand international cooperation in the field, including broadening opportunities for the exchange of expert knowledge and developing collaboration among OIC-CERT member countries.
