A conference dedicated to reviewing the results of the past year was held at the Special State Service for Communication and Information Security.
A conference dedicated to the results of 2024 and upcoming tasks was held at the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (XRİTDX). The conference discussed the work carried out in the fields of information security and cybersecurity, the achievements attained, and future goals.
Opening the event with a speech, the Head of the Service, Lieutenant General Ilgar Musayev, spoke about the strategic projects implemented over the past year and the successes achieved in information security. He emphasized that as a result of the attention and care given to information security and cybersecurity by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the activities of XRİTDX have been further expanded and international cooperation strengthened.
The conference also highlighted the important tasks carried out by the Service to ensure information security during the high-level organization of global events such as the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
Special attention was paid to the first-ever international conference on Cyber Diplomacy held in the country last year, as well as the activities of the newly established Cyber Diplomacy Center. The significance of cyberspace’s impact on global security issues and the importance of international cooperation were also underscored.
Additionally, significant steps were noted during the conference, including the approval of the list of Critical Information Infrastructures and the development of new legal and regulatory frameworks for the protection of state information resources.
The event also discussed the work done and results achieved in implementing the “Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Information Security and Cybersecurity for 2023–2027.”
Concluding the conference, Lieutenant General Ilgar Musayev outlined the instructions regarding the responsible tasks ahead for the Service in the current year.
