The 5th Summit Meeting of IT Heads of State Institutions was held
The event, organized by the Special Communication and Information Security State Service (XRİTDX), brought together senior IT leaders from government agencies to discuss sector challenges as well as to share new opportunities and ideas.
Over 100 representatives from 73 state institutions participated in the event.
The “Summit Meeting” was opened with a welcoming speech by the Deputy Head of XRİTDX, Major General Allahverən Ismayilov, who noted that Azerbaijan’s activities in the ICT sector are successfully continuing along the strategic path set with great foresight by the national leader Heydar Aliyev. He emphasized that recent cyber threats have become more complex and are spreading globally. Cybercriminals are now targeting not only state networks but also individual users. Ismayilov stressed that the purpose of the event is not only to enhance cybersecurity in state institutions but also to collaboratively build the country’s information security ecosystem. He also provided detailed information about the International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy and the establishment of the Cyber Diplomacy Center, which were successfully held and created for the first time in the region by XRİTDX.
Following this, XRİTDX Department Head Tural Məmmədov gave a presentation on the state of information security in government agencies, including statistical indicators and sector innovations.
Representatives from the State Security Service’s Cybersecurity Operations Center, MegaSec company, and the State Committee on Work with Diaspora also delivered presentations during the event.
The “V Summit Meeting of IT Heads of State Institutions” concluded with an open discussion of new threats and solutions, as well as the challenges faced by government agencies.
