Special Communication and Information Security State Service (SCISSS) is participating in the Bucharest Digital Innovations Summit
From April 8 to 11, a delegation from Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SCISSS) is participating in the Bucharest Digital Innovations Summit held in Bucharest, Romania. The event is organized by the Government of Romania, the Chamber of Deputies, and “ICI Bucharest.”
The summit focuses on strengthening cooperation in digital technologies, cybersecurity, and cyber diplomacy. In his opening speech, Azer Ahadov, Major General and Chief of the Main Department of SCISSS, spoke about the opportunities and cyber risks created by digital innovations, as well as the importance of international partnerships and strategic approaches. He also provided information about the international cyber diplomacy conference and training sessions organized in Azerbaijan within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between SCISSS and “ICI Bucharest.”
During the summit, Tural Mammadov, Deputy Chief of the Main Department of SCISSS, spoke at a panel discussion on the cybersecurity of energy infrastructure. He emphasized the challenges posed by digitalization and the role of cyber diplomacy in this field. He noted that cyber diplomacy can play a crucial mediating role in addressing technological dependencies, supply chain risks, cyberattacks, and other threats to digitalized systems, thereby ensuring stability.
