SCISSS is participating in an international event

A delegation of Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan is participating in the “GISEC Global 2025” event, held from May 6 to 8 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The event is jointly organized by the UAE Cybersecurity Council, the UAE Ministry of Interior, Dubai Police, and the Dubai Electronic Security Center.

“GISEC Global 2025,” recognized as one of the most prestigious international platforms in the field of cybersecurity, brings together more than 18,000 cybersecurity professionals, government officials, industry leaders, and over 750 prominent brands from 160 countries. The main objectives of the event are to discuss the security of critical information infrastructure, explore the latest trends in cybersecurity, generative artificial intelligence, quantum cryptography, as well as address emerging cyber threats such as malware, deepfake-enabled fraud, and AI-driven ransomware attacks. It also aims to foster collaboration and promote innovative solutions in the field.

As part of the event, Major General Azar Ahadov, Head of Main Department of Special Communication and Information Security State Service, delivered a presentation titled “Accelerating National Cyber Resilience: Azerbaijan’s Approach to Securing Critical Infrastructure.” In his speech, he emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the field and noted that Azerbaijan is implementing consistent and comprehensive measures to strengthen the security of critical information infrastructure, including its information systems, communication networks, and automated control systems.

Additionally, participants of “GISEC Global 2025” were informed that the “CIDC-2025” event, jointly organized by Special Communication and Information Security State Service and the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, will be held on October 9–10, focusing on the theme “Cyberwarfare in Smart Cities.”

Within the framework of the event, the delegation of Special Communication and Information Security State Service also held a meeting with Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, during which issues of mutual interest and prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed.
