In August, more than 30 million malicious links were recorded

The Special Communication and Information Security State Service (SCISSS) continues its consistent efforts to protect the information resources of government agencies from cyber threats in a comprehensive and continuous manner.

During August of this year, monitoring and analysis conducted by SCISSS identified 39 cyberattack indicators. The blocking of these indicators prevented targeted APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) cyberattacks against government institutions.

As a result of measures implemented by SCISSS in August:

  • 31,759,074 malicious links were blocked across the “AzStateNet” network,

  • 8,408 malicious electronic documents were neutralized via the “Sandbox” protection system, and

  • 2,850,500 malicious activities were blocked through the centralized security solution used by government end-users.

Additionally, using cyber intelligence capabilities, two fake domains mimicking government agency domains were detected and blocked during August.

By carrying out continuous and proactive measures in the field of information security, SCISSS ensures the reliable, uninterrupted, and secure operation of government agencies in the digital environment.
