The International Conference “Women in Cyber” was held in Baku

On October 11 of the current year, the international conference titled “Women in Cyber – The Voice of Women, Strengthening Resilience in Cybersecurity” was held in Baku.

The event was organized within the framework of the Critical Infrastructure Defence Challenge 2025 (CIDC-2025) international cyber festival by the public association “Femmes Digitales – Supporting Women in Tech” in cooperation with Estonia’s e-Governance Academy (eGA).

The main partners of the conference were the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SSSCIS) and the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (ACOA).

The event brought together more than 300 participants from various countries across the region, including cybersecurity professionals, government officials, academics, and young specialists.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Head of the Main Department of the SSSCIS Tural Mammadov emphasized the importance of enhancing women's participation and leadership potential in the field of cybersecurity. He noted that promoting women’s leadership in cybersecurity is an investment in a safer, smarter, and more inclusive future for the region. Mr. Mammadov also stressed that the growing role of women in cybersecurity and information technologies is a key priority on both national and regional development agendas.

Throughout the conference, discussions were held on enhancing the role of women in cybersecurity, strengthening digital resilience during crises, promoting regional cooperation, and building public trust.
