Nearly 20 million malicious links were blocked during the month of December

Based on the analysis of cyberattacks detected through the continuous monitoring of information systems of state institutions by Special Communication and Information Security State Service, 99 cyberattack indicators (IOC – “Indicator of Compromise”) were identified and centrally blocked for December 2025. Of these cyber threats, 89 were identified through internal investigation, while 10 were determined based on requests from state institutions.

In addition, during December 2025, Special Communication and Information Security State Service recorded and blocked 19,168,168 malicious links on the “AzStateNet” network and 4,191 malicious electronic documents through the “Sandbox” protection system. Furthermore, through the security solutions installed on end-users’ devices (centralized antivirus system), 390,859 malicious activities were prevented.

Additionally, during the last three months of the previous year, 5,428,089 emails were processed through the state electronic mail service created by Special Communication and Information Security State Service for state institutions, of which 3,212,688 were delivered to users, while 2,215,401 were blocked after being identified as containing malicious content.
