The memory of the victims of the January 20 tragedy was commemorated at Special Communication and Information Security State Service
On the occasion of the next anniversary of the January 20 tragedy, Lieutenant General Ilgar Musayev, Head of Special Communication and Information Security State Service (SCISSS), together with the Service’s personnel, visited the Alley of Martyrs. The sacred memory of the sons of the Motherland who sacrificed their lives for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with deep respect, and carnations were laid on their graves. On behalf of the SCISSS, a wreath was laid in front of the “Eternal Flame” memorial complex.
Afterwards, a commemorative event was held at the administrative building of the Service. The event began with a one-minute moment of silence in honor of the cherished memory of our sons and daughters who were martyred for the freedom and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Speaking at the event, Deputy Head of the SCISSS, Major General Allahveran Ismayilov, emphasized the exceptional place of the January 20 events in the history of our people’s independence and noted the importance of always honoring the memory of the martyrs.
At the end of the commemorative event, a documentary film dedicated to the January 20 tragedy was screened.
