A series of events were held at the SCISSS on the occasion of the birthday of National Leader Heydar Aliyev
On the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, the Special Communication and Information Security State Service (SCISSS) organized a series of commemorative events.
Lieutenant General Ilgar Musayev, Head of the SCISSS, together with the Service’s personnel, visited the Alley of Honors and paid deep respect to the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, the architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, and a world-renowned political figure. A wreath and flowers were laid at his grave.
The memory of the distinguished ophthalmologist-scientist, Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, was also honored, and flowers were placed at her grave.
As part of the commemorative events, the personnel of the SCISSS visited the Heydar Aliyev Center. During the visit, they familiarized themselves with documents, photographs, and exhibits reflecting various periods of the National Leader’s life and activities, and also viewed the exhibition entitled “Azerbaijan’s Treasures: Through the Flow of History.”
In addition, with the aim of providing the personnel with more comprehensive information about the life, political activity, and state-building legacy of Heydar Aliyev, a meeting was held with Jabi Bahramov, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Institute of History, Head of the Department of History of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Philosophy in History, and Honorary Professor of Western University. During the meeting, Jabi Bahramov spoke about the far-sighted policies implemented by Heydar Aliyev in strengthening Azerbaijani statehood, safeguarding national interests, and ensuring the country’s development, and provided detailed information about the National Leader’s life and activities.
Furthermore, an event dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the administrative building of the Service. Addressing the event, Major General Allahveran Ismayilov, Deputy Head of the SCISSS, spoke about the National Leader’s exceptional services in the development of modern Azerbaijan and the strengthening of statehood, as well as the strategic course he established in the fields of national security and public administration.
Other speakers participating in the event also highlighted Heydar Aliyev’s historic contributions to the Azerbaijani people and emphasized that his political legacy continues to play an important role in the development of the country today.
The event concluded with the screening of a documentary film dedicated to the life and activities of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
