A representative of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service (SCISSS) participated in the NatCSIRT 2026 and FIRSTCON26 international conferences
Murad Balayev, Head of the Computer Incident Response Center (CERT) of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service (SCISSS) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, participated in the closed technical meeting of National CERTs (NatCSIRT 2026) held in Denver, the capital of the U.S. state of Colorado, as well as in the 38th international FIRST conference (FIRSTCON26).
Organized by the CERT Coordination Center (CERT/CC) of Carnegie Mellon University, “NatCSIRT 2026” is a closed international platform designed for representatives of CERT organizations responsible for preventing and responding to cybersecurity incidents at the national level. The event addressed key cybersecurity challenges, including threat intelligence, the development of incident response capabilities, protection of critical information infrastructure, digital resilience, and international information exchange.
Furthermore, within the framework of FIRSTCON26, the “AzCyberForce” team of the SCISSS Computer Incident Response Center achieved 5th place among 69 teams and 179 participants in the international Capture The Flag (CTF) competition, demonstrating Azerbaijan’s professional capabilities and expertise in the field of cybersecurity at the international level.
