Events Held to Mark the Professional Holiday of SCISSS Employees
September 26 is the Professional Holiday of the Employees of the Special Communications and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SCISSS).
By Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated September 24, 2024, September 26, 2012, the date on which the Special Communications and Information Security State Agency under the Special State Protection Service was established, was designated as the Professional Holiday of SCISSS employees.
A series of events were held with the participation of the management and personnel of SCISSS on the occasion of the Professional Holiday.
As part of the events, the senior management of the Service visited the Alley of Honor, laid a wreath and bouquets of flowers at the grave of Heydar Aliyev, National Leader of the Azerbaijani people and founder of the independent Azerbaijani state, and paid deep tribute to his cherished memory. The grave of prominent ophthalmologist, scientist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva was also visited, and bouquets of flowers were laid at her grave.
The Service’s personnel subsequently visited the Alley of Martyrs, where they paid deep tribute to the cherished memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, and laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
An event was also held at the administrative building of the Service with the participation of Service employees to mark the Professional Holiday. Opening the event with an introductory speech, Head of the Service Ilgar Musayev spoke about the state-building activities of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s successful overcoming of complex historical and political challenges as a result of his wise and far-sighted policy, and his consistent emphasis on state security. He also provided information on the history and significance of the establishment of the Professional Holiday.
The Head of the Service emphasized that information security and special communications remain a constant focus of attention of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. He noted that strategic decisions adopted under the leadership of the Head of State, the enhancement of the regulatory and legal framework, and the strengthening of material and technical capabilities have created conditions for the sector to enter a new stage of development. Ilgar Musayev highlighted that the role of the Service in ensuring the security of state information resources has further expanded in recent years.
During the event, the Orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on awarding military personnel of the Special Communications and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan were presented to the personnel.
In addition, military personnel who have duly performed their official duties and distinguished themselves through their professionalism were awarded medals and certificates of commendation.
The personnel expressed their gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, for the attention and care extended to them.
