Azerbaijan was elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Computer Emergency Response Team of the Islamic Cooperation Organization

Computer Emergency Response Team of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CERT.GOV.AZ) was represented in the elections to the Board of Directors at the 10th Congress of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Computer Emergency Response Team (OIC-CERT) held in Muscat, the capital of Oman, on November 7.

Tural Mammadov, Head of the Department of Special Communications and Information Security State Service, who took part in the elections, was elected as a member of the Board of Directors for the next two-year term.

Azerbaijan's active and productive activity as a member of the Board of Directors in the past years at the Congress, its support to the development of CERTs of other member countries both in terms of cooperation and as a representative of the board, including high-level hosting of the international conference of CERTs of OIC countries in 2017 is highly appreciated.

CERT.GOV.AZ, a full member of the OIC CERT organization since 2013, continues its activities as a member of the Board of Directors from the 8th Congress of OIC CERTs held in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2016.

The United Arab Emirates was chosen as the host for the next International Conference of OIC CERTs in 2023 after the proposals received from the member countries were evaluated at the congress.
