The security of information resources belonging to the state institutions of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will be further strengthened in the "GOV.AZ" zone
The information resources belonging to the state institutions of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic have been audited in accordance with the Decision No. 189 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 4, 2012 on the approval of "Requirements for the creation and management of Internet information resources of state bodies" with the domains "GOV.AZ" protection will be ensured in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 654 of June 19, 2012 on some measures related to ensuring the security of Internet information resources and e-mail addresses of the state bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In this regard, the employees of State Service of the Special Communication and Information Security visited the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on December 6-8, 2022, regarding the issues of ensuring the information security of state institutions, as well as the safe delivery of state services to the newly established ASAN Service Center. The situation of the storage and protection of information resources belonging to the state institutions of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was reviewed, cyber security, their placement in the state domain zone, security audit, protection, organization of protection as a component of information exchange systems, and meetings at various levels were held with the aim of strengthening information security, Nakhchivan Trainings were held for specialists of the Ministry of Communications and New Technologies of the Autonomous Republic and it was agreed that the Ministry would join the cyber hygiene project. During the visit, in order to investigate the possibilities of providing "AzstateNet" internet, voice and data network in state institutions, the state of state institutions' networking was evaluated on the spot in cities and regions of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
During the meeting held with the Ministry of Communications and New Technologies of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, numerous critical security gaps discovered by us as a result of audit checks in the information resources of the state institutions of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and presented in November 2021 and ways to eliminate them were discussed together with the Ministry. It was reported that 11 of the 111 state information resources with the old version, where security updates have stopped and numerous loopholes have been discovered, are currently being updated by the Ministry of Communications and New Technologies of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
It was agreed that the updated 11 information resources should be submitted to the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security for security audits and transferred to the "GOV.AZ" domain zone by the end of the current year. The transfer of other resources to the "GOV.AZ" domain zone is planned to be completed in the first half of the next year, after updating and adapting them to security requirements.
