Azerbaijan’s State Service of Special Communication and Information Security, TUBITAK BILGEM ink MoU
On December 12, the head of TUBITAK Informatics and Information Security Research Center (BILGEM) of the Republic of Turkey, Dr. Ali Görçin and the director of the State Certificate Services Center (KamuSM) of the Republic of Turkey, Dr. Chagatay Karabat was in the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security (SCİS).
The Turkish delegation made a presentation on the work done in the TUBİTAK BİLGEM center, the national technological solutions they produced, as well as other areas of their activity. It was noted that the main fields of activities of BİLGEM are research-development, testing and evaluation, prototype production and training. During the presentation, it was pointed out that the TÜBİTAK BILGEM center is a national scientific research center that prepares innovative and national solutions for the needs of Turkey with its analyzes in the field of information technologies, information security and advanced electronics. In addition, it was noted that the main activities of the BILGEM center are research, test-evaluation, prototype preparation and training of professional staff. It was informed about the establishment of the center in order to ensure the technological independence of the Republic of Turkey in the field of information technologies and information security, especially to ensure the confidentiality, completeness, safe transmission and storage of military and civilian information.
During the meeting with the head of the SCİS, Lieutenant General Ilgar Musayev, the parties discussed the creation of a national cryptographic research and application area in our country, the organization of the electronic signature system in accordance with the requirements of the day, the adaptation of the unified electronic interdepartmental document circulation system to the standards, reverse engineering for the analysis of devices, applications and operating systems, radio broadcasting radio monitoring to ensure the security of its territory and for long-term mutual exchange of experience in a number of other directions, they agree on the study of theoretical and practical knowledge on the spot, as well as the establishment of joint test and evaluation centers.The State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Informatics and Information Security Research Center (BİLGEM) of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye (TUBITAK) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on joint cooperation.
