Representatives of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the event “Technologies for sustainable development: 4 SIM technologies and cloud solutions”
On March 13 of this year, with the joint organization of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution under the Ministry of Economy (4SIM) and the Turkish company Bulutistan, an event on the theme “Technologies for sustainable development: 4SIM technologies and cloud solutions” was held. The cybersecurity issues, the application of cloud technologies in various fields, and the exchange of experiences in the field of cloud technologies between Azerbaijan and Turkey discussed in the event .
Head of the Department of State Service of Special Communication and Information Security (SCIS), Tural Mammadov, within the framework of the event, delivered a presentation on “Cloud solutions in public institutions”, talked about “Information Security”, the security of cloud solutions, detailed statistically significant indicators related to ensuring information security of public institutions. He also spoke about recently widely advertised and built on external cloud solutions, stressed the importance of government agencies' sensitive approach to such solutions, stressed that the use of external cloud solutions is an unacceptable risk that creates dependence from abroad, whether it is in jurisdiction, on data being made available to foreign private service agencies, or on the pattern of sanctions followed in the Ukrainian-Russian war.
During the speech, it was emphasized that the "AzstateNet" network, covering the entire country, consisting of 230 "Cores" and more than 1000 contact "switches", had already been fully operational in the occupied territories, and statistics related to the security of the state network were presented.
