A meeting was held at the Special Communications and Information Security State Service to discuss the results of the first half of 2024
The meeting at the Special Communications and Information Security State Service was opened with an introductory speech by the Service’s head, General-Lieutenant Ilgar Musayev. He emphasized the economic achievements and successes of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which have been made possible through the visionary policies of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, despite the complex socio-political processes and challenging geopolitical situation in the world.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the provision of special state communication, government communication, and specialized information-telecommunication systems and networks for state agencies, their connection to the internet network, the placement and operation of internet information resources in the data and resource center, the assurance of information security, and the strengthening of its requirements. The work done, existing shortcomings, and tasks ahead were also thoroughly covered.
Reports were presented on the installation of fiber-optic cables throughout the country, including in the liberated territories, and the connection of state agencies operating in these areas to the Azstatenet network, along with other completed activities.
The Service head also provided information about the declaration of 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" in the Republic of Azerbaijan and discussed in detail the tasks ahead in this regard.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were also held regarding the upcoming Cyber Diplomacy Conference, which will be held for the first time in Azerbaijan in September of this year.
At the conclusion of the event, awards were presented to several employees of the Special Communications and Information Security State Service who had been honored in connection with June 26 – the Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
