The International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy was held in Azerbaijan for the first time

A total of nearly 120 representatives from more than 30 countries, including officials, diplomats, and influential experts, participated in the conference. The main topic of the conference was the discussion of the development prospects of the field of cyber diplomacy and the role of cyber diplomacy in information security. Within the conference, 4 panel discussions were organized on relevant and topical areas of the field.

The event was held with the partnership of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Center for Analysis of International Relations, ADA University, and with the support of private organizations.

It should be noted that within the framework of the conference, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between the Special Communication and Information Security State Service, the Institute for Development and Diplomacy, and the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics of Romania (“ICI Bucharest”). According to the memorandum, a Cyber Diplomacy Twinning Center has been established in our country with the aim of promoting research, education, and skills development in the field of cyber diplomacy, as well as training cyber diplomats, a newly emerging profession.

The Baku Declaration on the outcomes of the International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy has been adopted.
