A training program on the topic “Artificial intelligence-supported new cyber defense methods in wireless communications” has been launched

From 15–18 October of the current year, a training program on the topic “Artificial intelligence-supported new cyber defense methods in wireless communications,” a joint project of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Istanbul Technical University, will be held at the “Radisson Baku” hotel.

Over the course of four days, it is planned that high-level training sessions will be delivered by scientists from several reputable universities of Türkiye to specialists selected from government agencies and members of the academic staff of higher education institutions.

At the opening ceremony of the training program, the Head of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant General Ilgar Musayev, the project leader from the Republic of Türkiye, Professor Ali Görçin, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and Director General of the Institute of Information Technology, Rasim Aliguliyev, Rector of the Azerbaijan Technical University, Vilayat Valiyev, and Rector of the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), Elmar Gasimov, delivered speeches.

The training program will cover topics such as “Fundamentals of Cryptography and Network Security,” “Cybersecurity Threats in Wireless Channels,” “Physical Layer Cyber Attacks,” “New Cyber Defense Strategies in Wireless Infrastructures,” and “Security of Wireless Networks, including 5G Networks.” The training will ensure the exchange of knowledge, experience, and innovative solutions in the field of cyber defense with the support of artificial intelligence.

It should be noted that the project has been approved by NATO’s Science for Peace and Security (SPS) program.
