The Special Communications and Information Security State Service (SCIS) participated in an international seminar

An international seminar on "Cybersecurity in OIC countries: Issues and Perspectives" was held in Islamabad, Pakistan, organized by the Permanent Committee on Science and Technology Cooperation (COMSTECH) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Huawei.
At the seminar, Fakhri Jafarov, a representative of the Computer Incident Response Center (CIRC) of the Special Communications and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, delivered a presentation on the topic "Strengthening National Cybersecurity: The Role of CERT.gov.az Center in Ensuring Information Security in State Institutions." He informed the participants about the efforts made in Azerbaijan to enhance cybersecurity and protect critical infrastructure, as well as the exposure of a cybercriminal group that infected 270,741 computers in 135 countries.
On the following day of the seminar, a representative from SCIS participated in a panel session titled "Policy Frameworks for a Secure Future."
The event, attended by more than 300 representatives, aimed to discuss the existing cybersecurity challenges in OIC member states, share experiences, develop strategies to reduce risks, and strengthen cooperation.
